Tracks were recorded at the BBC studios on 1st December 1985 and first broadcast on 14th January 1986. The UK vinyl copy has the title as "The Janice Long Session". Janice hosted the Radio 1 mid evening programming at that time, the spot before John Peel's show. The Great Alternative & Indie Discography lists the title as "The Evening Show Sessions".
