A rather pleasant listen by the band. The 2002 release added three more songs : "Hush", "Wring That Neck" and "Child in Time" which were fantastic listens. The core part of this album - melding classical with rock can seem overlong sometimes and is mostly instrumental (except for short vocals on one song) but it has some creative sections interweaved within it. I still think it might have been better had it been slightly shorter in length but eithercase, this is probably the most different sounding Deep Purple album from their repository and is atleast a one time listen.
