The White Room
~ Release group by The KLF
Annotation
Different versions of this album exist. The original UK edition used a lot of samples that were not cleared for use. US versions are heavily edited to remove this. A lot of the samples are crowd noise lifted from U2 and Doors albums. Presenting a faked live atmosphere.
UK edition is 8 tracks and 43:54 (says 45:05 on album)
US edition is 9 tracks and 39:39
UK is 8 tracks as 3 A.M. Eternal (Live at the S.S.L.) / Church of the KLF are merged. Though on some European CDs this is Church of the KLF / Last Train to Trancentral that gets merged. Leading to a nice confusion of CDs.
US also has shortened tracks with other samples removed. It uses the single mix of Last Train to Trancentral instead of the mellower UK album version, edits No More Tears down from 9:24 to 6:42, and adds a little more wind noise at the end of the closing Justified and Ancient.
The Japanese version follows the US format, with the single version of Last Train to Trancentral replaced by the 12" version of that mix.
