Interpress (German manufacturer and distributor)
~ Label
Annotation
German vinyl (from 1976 until around 1995) and CD manufacturer (from 1985 until 1999) as well as distributor.
Originally founded 1971 by Alfred Petith as Taunus Ton Technik, a pressing machine manufacturer and pressing facility. The pressing facility was then bought by Branko Zivanovic (owner of Bellaphon) and expanded to a full pressing plant.
The vinyl pressings can be identified by IP, JP or J.P. in the runouts (the "J" is actually an "I").
Also pressed for Intercord a.o.
The company changed it's legal form and headquarters several times:
Interpress-Tonträger GmbH, Frankfurt: from March 1976 to May 1977 (then merged into Bellaphon Records GmbH).
Interpress Tonträger GmbH & Co. KG, Bad Homburg: from May 1976 to August 17, 1988 (of which Interpress-Tonträger GmbH / Bellaphon Records GmbH were limited partners).
Interpress Tonträger GmbH, Bad Homburg: from August 18, 1988 to May 03, 1999.
