Annotation

Founded by Charles Mingus.
Given to Saul Zaentz of Fantasy records in 1957 (as a wedding present by Mingus, with the former Celia Mingus).
Now catalog belong to Concord Music Group (following Fantasy buying by CMG).
After Debut soldout/disband, apparently the label resurfaced as a Danish based company (?) and issued a few records (a dozen?). What kind of offspring it was exactly is really unclear. Anyhow, these two periods (the historical Mingus period and the danish offspring) should better be kept separate. Looks like wikipedia doesn't know stuff about that, still.

Note that JVC/Victor reprinted stuff from Debut in Japan using the original Debut imprint during the 90s (leased by Fantasy).
